G.Park Blue Planet is the UK’s first carbon positive BREEAM excellent rated logistics park with 100% energy supplied by renewable sources exceeding UK Governments 60% Co2 reduction target by 2050 in 2008.

This pioneering sustainable development will deliver the UK’s first truly carbon positive logistics building with its own bio fuel micro power station, fuelled by organic materials. The bio fuel micro power station will not only produce sufficient power and heat for the on-site buildings but will also provide enough energy to power up to 650 local homes. Optimised daylighting in the offices reduces the need for artificial light.
Rainwater collection for re-use in offices.
Low water use sanitary appliances.Environmental initiatives include:
Landscaping with native species vegetation.
Office partitions manufactured using power station waste.
Marmoleum floor coverings, produced from renewable natural raw materials.
Organic paint in the offices.
Carpet tiles manufactured with yarns using at least 80% post industrial waste.
Ceiling tiles throughout the offices manufactured from recyclable materials.
FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) approved timber from sustainable sources.The second phase of the site offers further development opportunity of up to 116,000 sq.ft. (10,776 sq.m.) in smaller buildings from 18,000 sq.ft. (1,672 sq.m.)
